The Set List

What happens in the chair.

Six ways to leave looking like the main character. Everything starts with a chat — no surprises, no upsells, no flinching at your moodboard.

The headline show

The Full Vivid Transformation

Fantasy colours, full-head melts, blacklight neon, cherry-red goth — whatever's living in your saved folder. Lightening is planned honestly: what lifts tonight, what lifts in stage two, and why.

  • Full bleaching & vivid application
  • Melts, money-pieces, peekaboo, split-dye
  • Aftercare plan you can actually follow

Fashion Cuts & Shags

Wolf cuts, mullets, chokhis, whispy emo chops, blunt bobs with attitude. Cut to sit how you live — with the fringe you keep threatening to commit to.

Barbering & Fades

Skin fades, fauxhawks, undercut geometry, short-back-and-sides with a twist. Barber-trained precision for whoever's in the seat.

Colour Correction & Rescue

Box-dye horror stories, green tinges, band-aid disasters, "my mate did it" — no lectures, just a plan. Consult first, always.

Extensions & Length Games

Extra length, extra drama, hidden pops of colour under natural hair. Fitted, blended, and matched to your real life, not a photoshoot.

Bridal & Big Occasions

Alternative bridal, festival hair, gig-of-the-year hair. Veils optional; personality mandatory. Trials welcome.

Prices depend on length, condition and how ambitious the dream is — Emma quotes honestly at consult. DM the inspo and get a real number.

Palette Studies

The colour bar, pinned up.

Not photos — promises. These are the families Emma lives in. The real work, mid-melt and post-foam, lives on Instagram.

  • Poison Apple

Acid green over pale blonde — feral, photogenic, high-maintenance in the best way.

  • Ember Melt

Cherry to copper to a burnt-out base. Goth autumn, permanently.

  • Vampire Rose

Deep red-black that only shows its teeth under light. Office-legal until dark.

  • Cyber Slate

Steel blue-grey over cool blonde. Y2K rave hair, engineered for 2026.

  • Sunset Static

Pink-into-orange-into-violet melt with a static fringe. The full rainbow, argued carefully.

Behind the shears

Thirty-odd. Metal-obsessed. Colour-obsessed harder.

Emma is the hairdresser the rest of the industry whispers about in the good way: a Wella Master Colourist who won Fellowship Project Colour '26 for vivid work, trained in barbering, and still genuinely thrilled when somebody asks for neon green.

She built her name in Leicester one transformation at a time — goth regulars, metalheads, emos past their "expiry date", brides who wanted purple. The self-styled elder emo bit is the joke; the award on the shelf is the receipt.

Follow the work

The Rider

Getting in the chair.

Three steps. No app to download, no account to make, no deposit lost to a mystery website.

  1. Ping the DMs

Send @emmafraser_hair your inspo, a photo of your hair right now (box dye included, no shame), and the rough dream. She'll tell you honestly what's doable in one sitting.

  2. The soundcheck

Every colour booking starts with a consult and a strand test — the hair gets tested before the full head, always. You leave with a plan and a real price, not a quote from a screenshot.

  3. Sit down. Drift out.

Playlist is yours to influence, snacks are negotiable, and you walk out as the improved edition. Aftercare plan included — colour that fades politely is a skill.

Liner Notes

Questions from the front row.

Straight answers, in the same voice you'll hear in the salon.

Ask the rest in the DMs
Will my mum / my partner / a stranger judge me for wanting pink hair?

Not in this chair. The salon's demographic runs goth to granny and everyone in between. Nobody here has ever been shocked by a moodboard, only excited by one.

Is going vivid going to wreck my hair?

Lightening is lightening — it's not free for your hair. Which is exactly why there's a strand test, an honest plan, and sometimes a "let's do half tonight and the rest in six weeks." Healthy hair wearing loud colour beats fried hair worn quiet, every time.

I've been using box dye for years. Is it too late?

It's not too late, it's a correction — different process, different timeline, sometimes two sittings. Bring the boxes if you kept them. No lectures; box dye is a 2am decision, not a crime.

How long will the colour actually last?

Depends on the shade and your shower habits. Cool tones and reds are the dramatic ones; greens and blues mellow gracefully. Wash less, wash cold, sulfate-free shampoo, and you'll stretch it a lot further than your friends think is possible.

Do you cut everyone — short hair, fades, beards?

Yes. Barber-trained, so skin fades and precision short work sit right next to mullets and shags on the menu. Whoever's in the seat gets the same attention.

How do I book, and is there a deposit?

Instagram DM is the fast lane — @emmafraser_hair. Slots, prices and any deposit policy get confirmed there with Emma directly, because the diary and the rules are hers, not a booking site's.

The Studio

Birstall, Leicester. Booked like a gig.

The diary runs through Instagram — that's how a lot of Leicester's alt-kids already find her. Pick your channel, send the dream, get a slot.
